The Livets Ord movement

Livets Ord Moss is part of a wider community of churches, centred on faith in Jesus and the Bible.

We are part of Livets Ord Norge, led from Livets Ord Fredrikstad. Through this fellowship, we stand with an international movement rooted in Uppsala, Sweden.

LIVETS ORD NORWAY

A community based in Fredrikstad

Livets Ord Fredrikstad was founded in 1989 and was previously known as Zoé Kirken. In September 2024, the congregation chose to become a Livets Ord church and part of Word of Life International.

The church seeks to equip people to live with Jesus and share their faith. Bible teaching, fellowship across generations and evangelism are central. For us in Moss, this affiliation means we can stand with other churches in faith, growth and ministry.

FROM UPPSALA TO THE WORLD

An international movement

Livets Ord was founded in Uppsala on 24 May 1983. Its Bible school began that autumn. Bible teaching, church planting and mission have been central to its work ever since.

Today, Livets Ord Uppsala is a base for extensive international cooperation through Word of Life International (WOLI). Livets Ord describes the centres in its network as representing nearly a thousand churches. The movement therefore includes over 900 churches across much of the world, including Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The work also includes Bible schools, leadership training and humanitarian aid. We in Moss belong to this community while also being a local church seeking to make a difference to the people around us.

RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CHURCHES

Livets Ord Family in Norway

Livets Ord Family is a relational network of churches that share faith and values, build friendships and support one another.

Family affiliation is about fellowship and cooperation between local churches. In Norway, Troskirken and Karismakirken are among the churches in this network.
